The 6th Council of the 8th session of the Shanghai Bicycle ( Electric Bicycle ) Industry Association was held on the afternoon of June 28, 2024 at the Yunfeng Hotel in Hongqiao. There are 35 directors who should attend the meeting, but in reality, there are 29, which exceeds the quorum. The meeting is valid. The seven terms of the council will expire in January 2025. The Secretariat of the Association drafted a draft in accordance with the requirements of the "Guidelines for the Election of Social Organizations in Shanghai" and the template provided by the Municipal Bureau of Social Organizations, which was discussed at the President's Meeting on June 14th.
The Secretary General of the Association, Chen Zhiqing, introduced the specific content of the "draft", which consists of five parts: "Basic information of the Association, preparation work for the new election, organizational leadership of the preparation work for the new election, recommendation of new candidates, conditions for the list of scrutineers, and implementation schedule of the preparation work for the new election.". The draft suggests that the preparatory leadership group for the election should consist of 13 representatives from the Party organization, directors, supervisors, and members, with Liu Bing serving as the group leader. The working group is composed of Secretariat personnel, with Chen Zhiqing serving as the leader. The draft suggests that a preliminary list of candidates for the new leadership team should be generated in September, and after being submitted to relevant units for review and approval, the first meeting of the 9th General Assembly of Members should be held in December to complete all the work of the new leadership team.
